How it works and next steps

My photoshoots are typically done outside or in the client's home. Booking a studio is also a great option. Let me know if you're interested in a studio session and we'll go from there.

  • 1 hour family session at the location of your choice. All of the best images will be edited and delivered in an interactive online gallery where you can download high res files and keep them forever. I also offer prints through my galleries. This can be used for newborns, families, maternity, engagements, or senior portraits.

  • This is for anything other than the core family members. Think grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Shoots last around 1.5 hours and we will get all of the combinations of family members, including a group shot. All of the best images will be edited and put onto a digital gallery for you to download and keep.

Celebrate motherhood with a Mother’s day mini session. On May 4th we’ll be at a natural light studio in NW Portland complete with a floral installation. These sessions are designed to capture the beauty of motherhood and freeze time to honor the bond between moms and their children.

As a Portland, Oregon family photographer I create relaxed, connection filled images that showcase the love and joy of your family. Whether you’re snuggling your baby, chasing a toddler, or celebrating generations of women, these short and sweet sessions are perfect for creating lasting memories.

Hi, I’m Rachel,

a Portland, Oregon family photographer. I moved to Portland in 2013 from Philadelphia, started photographing families right away, and never looked back. I live in SE Portland with my husband Brodie, our two daughters Sahalie and Mackenzie (yes named after Sahalie Falls in Central Oregon and the river it flows on), and our gigantic goldendoodle Guthrie.

Capturing the warmth within your family

I make family photography easy with my relaxed and playful approach. My shoots are simple- we let the kids be kids and follow their lead. We'll play, sing, dance, or do whatever else your kids want to do. I want you to look back on your photoshoot experience and remember how enjoyable it was. I love to photograph babies, kids, families, senior portraits, and maternity sessions. I'm based in Portland but travel around Oregon & Washington because everyone deserves beautiful photos of their family to hang in their house and cherish forever.
